We have a limited number of spaces in our Nursery the 2026-2027 academic year. To make an enquiry about spaces available, please complete the form at the bottom of this page. Please note that this does not guarantee a space. 

Starting Nursery in September 2027?

If your child was born between 1^st September 2023 and 31^st August 2024, please complete the form at the bottom of this page and we will allocate spaces for a September 2027 start. Spaces will be allocated using our criteria detailed below.

For prospective families hoping to join us for a September 2027 start, we are hosting the below information sessions. Please contact the main school office to sign up for a session. We will be hosting further sessions in the Summer term for families who have been allocated a place at our Nursery. Once your place has been confirmed in the Nursery, we will contact you to provide further details about these sessions.

• Monday 19th October 4:30pm – Prospective Nursery September 2027 intake
• Tuesday 17th November 5:15pm – Prospective Nursery September 2027 intake

Watling Primary School Nursery is open for 38 weeks of the year in line with the main school term dates which can be viewed here.

Places in our Nursery will be allocated in the following order:

• Children taking up full time places who live in the school’s priority catchment area and have a sibling in the main school who is on roll at the time of admission
• Children taking up full time places who live in the school’s priority catchment area
• Children of staff who work at Watling Primary School
• Children taking up full time places who live outside the school’s catchment area and have a sibling in the main school who is on roll at the time of admission
• Children taking up full time places who live outside the school’s priority catchment area
• Children taking up part time places who live in the school’s priority catchment area and have a sibling in the main school who is on roll at the time of admission
• Children taking up part time places who live in the school’s priority catchment area
• Children taking up part time places who live outside the school’s catchment area and have a sibling in the main school who is on roll at the time of admission
• Children taking up part time places who live outside the school’s priority catchment area
• Any other children

Consideration for the allocation of places in our Nursery for children with any of the following will be considered outside of the above criteria:

• Children with an Education, Health and Care Plan
• Looked After Children
• Previously Looked After Children
• Children with a Child Arrangements Order or Special Guardianship Order

From September 2025, all working families will be entitled to 30 hours of funded free childcare. Priority for places in our Nursery will be given to families who want to take up full time places. We can also offer 5 morning or afternoon sessions but these will be allocated once all full time requests have been processed. *

• 5 full day sessions with lunch – Monday to Friday 8:30am – 3:15pm
• 5 morning sessions – Monday to Friday 8:30am – 11:30am
• 5 afternoon sessions – Monday to Friday 12:15pm – 3:15pm

All lunchtime sessions (11:30am to 12:15pm) will incur an additional cost of £9.00 per day.
