It gives me great pleasure to introduce myself as the Headteacher of Watling Primary School.
As part of the Alliance Schools Trust, we embrace the shared values of Care, Education and Opportunity.
Our vision is to create a learning community where all members feel valued, respected and empowered to develop to their full potential by ‘nurturing a passion for learning.’
I am very proud of our logo and what it stands for. Each of the distinctive shapes represents and celebrates the individual. The position of each shape as part of the collective combines to create a ‘W’ within the negative space. When the shapes are brought together, they create a whole.
Children and the community are at the heart of every decision we make. We work tirelessly to equip our pupils with the knowledge, skills and personal attributes they need to develop as well-rounded individuals so that they are able to contribute positively to society as they develop and grow.
We want our children to be confident, ambitious and successful. For that reason, our standards and expectations of all members of our school community, irrespective of starting points or background, are extremely aspirational.

We are very fortunate to have amazing facilities as part of our premises and grounds. Our outdoor areas include purpose-designed sports facilities, Multi Use Gym Areas (MUGAs), Forest School, sensory landscaping, an outdoor gym area, trim trail and separate outdoor spaces for our Nursery and Reception children. The designated learning spaces indoors include a multi-purpose STEAM Room, Arts Studio, sensory room, group work rooms, library and purpose-designed staff areas.
Myself and the amazing Watling Primary School team look forward to welcoming new children and their families as our school community continues to grow.
It is an absolute privilege to have the opportunity of leading a very special educational provision for the children of the local community and it is with great excitement that I venture with you into the future.
I look forward to welcoming you to our school in person very soon.
Vikki Pegg, Headteacher
