Information Sessions for a September 2027 start
Our information sessions for families hoping to join us for a September 2027 are listed below. Please contact the main school office to sign up for a session. We will be hosting further sessions in the Summer term for families who have been allocated a place at our school. Once your place has been confirmed at the school, we will contact you to provide further details about these sessions.
- Monday 19th October 4:30pm – Prospective Nursery September 2027 intake
- Tuesday 20th October 4:30pm – Prospective Reception September 2027 intake
- Monday 16th November 5:15pm – Prospective Reception September 2027 intake
- Tuesday 17th November 5:15pm – Prospective Nursery September 2027 intake
- Monday 23rd November 5:15pm – Prospective KS1/2 September 2027 intake
In-year admissions for children in Reception – Year 6
Although we are our own Admissions Authority, any applications for in-year transfers for places in Reception – Year 6 should be made via Milton Keynes City Council, who manage this process on behalf of our school. Please refer to the admissions guidance on their website which can be accessed here.
Starting school in September 2027?
Please refer to the key dates below for applications for admissions in September 2027. This applies to children who will be starting in Reception (born between 1st September 2022 and 31st August 2023) and Year 3 (children currently attending an infant school who were born between 1st September 2019 and 31st August 2020).
The Milton Keynes City Council Citizens Portal for making an application for starting school for the first time or moving up to junior school in September 2027 is now open and closes on 15th January 2027.

Admissions appeals
If you named Watling Primary School as one of your preferences and were unsuccessful, you may wish to appeal against this decision to an Independent Appeal Panel. An appeal form can be requested by emailing the school. On completion, these forms should be returned via email with any supporting evidence within the appropriate timescales.
