At Watling Primary School, we recognise that the personal development of pupils spiritually, morally, socially and culturally, plays a significant part in their ability to learn and achieve.
Our Watling Way values, CAPTAIN Learning Chacteristics and 3 school rules (Be safe, Be kind, Be respectful) underpin everything we do and provide the foundations to support our children in developing important personal characteristics. We consider ways in which we can weave opportunities for SMSC into our everyday school culture.
The Department for Education requires schools “to promote fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs.” At Watling Primary School, we are committed to promoting and fostering these fundamental values as an instrinsic part of our curriculum offer.
